Moving an article to another issue
When you move an article into a different issue in JPS, the issue number field is automatically updated in the JPS article record. That is the only automatic update. Make sure that the volume/issue numbers and issue date are updated in the artic. See the instructions below.
If the paper has not yet been sent to TNQ for copy editing
Regenerate the eXtyles metadata. The updated issue information will be sent to TNQ and thus will be imported into the article.
If the paper is in Proof Central
You need to edit the XML for
the issue number (this can be changed via the Metadata tab, but you still have to edit the XML for #2 - changing the issue number does not change the issue date)
collection date (which is the issue date)
<pub-date pub-type="collection" iso-8601-date="2022-05-02">
<day>02</day>
<month>05</month>
<year>2022</year>
</pub-date>
<pub-date pub-type="epub">
<year>2022</year>
</pub-date>
<volume>219</volume>
<issue>5</issue>
