Prophy

Prophy is a tool that assists in finding reviewers. It creates a reviewer profile, ranking them according to their semantic similarity to a refereed manuscript or proposal. The results are integrated into EJP’s reviewer search screen.

By clicking “Search Prophy,” you will pull in results from Prophy directly into the EJP search results. Select the reviewer if needed and then scroll to the bottom of the results to click “assign.”

The author is added to the contact reviewer list, adding them to the EJP database and ready to send a request.

Searching ON Prophy

For a more detailed search within Prophy, you can click “Run search on prophy” which will take you to the website.

Then click on the "Top 50 candidates" bar to open the settings to get to all the options to refine the referee list -  e.g., “refine referees based on specific concepts”. From there you can move concepts between groups, delete concepts, boost, ignore groups of concepts, and add new topics within their own concepts.
