This page describes how to set up editors to get alerts to new SVRs for their journal.
On the editor's own journal, in this example, JCB, gives the user "Consult on Referral" permissions. This allows the user to see referrals in the Consult on Referral folder on their journal.
Checking any of the specific journals below that entry will send alerts to the person when that OTHER journal opens an SVR with their journal. So if this JCB editor also had JGP checked, they would get an alert when JCB opened and SVR with JGP.
In this case, on JHI, this user, an LSA editor, will now get alerts when JHI opens an SVR with LSA. Note that the "Consult on Referral" is unchecked, because this person is an LSA editor and should not have permissions to see referrals in the Consult on Referral folder on JHI.
Note that this permission is only necessary if the editor wants alerts. If nothing was checked, the LSA editor could still see referrals in the LSA Consult on Referral folder as long as they have Consult on Referral permissions for LSA.
